The Daffodil has many names including Narcissus and Jonquil. They began as wildflowers in Europe and moved around with the Romans. Then they moved from Europe to North America. They were normally White, Yellow or Orange. The Daffodil is the Birth Flower for the month of March. Now with Hybridization other Garden colors have been made. This Flower symbolizes Friendship. White ones in groups are also called Paper Whites. There are so many new Daffodils on the market that it impressed me. I have simple Paper Whites and Yellow ones at my home but the colors out in the market are gorgeous. I know which ones I am buying next!
